  3. Before your session starts:
    • For the main conference and industry track, please report to your session chair and introduce yourself
    • For workshop and doctoral symposium, please report to your respective event chairs at the start of the event
    • Check that your laptop and adapter work and you are able to project your slides

Technical Stuff

  1. Bring your own laptop for all presentations.
  2. Bring all your adapters -- the preferable adapter is one that supports HDMI.
    • This is especially applicable if you have a new Macbook or Macbook pro. USB-C to HDMI adapters will be hard to obtain at the last minute in Las Vegas.
  3. The resolution of the main conference (and industry track) projectors will be 1920x1200.
  4. The resolution of the workshops, tutorials and doctoral symposium projectors will be 1200x800.
  5. All attendees will have access to the venue's (UNLV) free guest Wifi.
    • There are no quality of service guarantees, so please do not rely on this.
    • Skype and other live conferencing services may or may not work.
  6. Back up your presentation, preferably to the cloud and on a USB stick/drive.
  7. Download all large files and videos that you will be using to your laptop, and back them up to a USB stick/drive
    • Do not rely on being able to live stream videos, even from Youtube.
  8. You should have all demos recorded and available on your laptop and backed up to a USB stick/drive.
    • Do not rely on the internet at the venue to do your demos.
